Excerpt from Forget Me Not

These thoughts are but my humble mite; I send them forth to shed their light, And do what good they may. For every strong or feeble thought Of God or man - no matter what Does good, the sages say.

So, if they cause one smile to beam, Or, wake one mortal from his dream, Then that will be his gain. And I, who sent them forth to glow, However weak, however low, Shall not have lived in vain.

I received the book by the author to read/review. I also know the author in person when I used to attend a local event in Milwaukee (Milwaukee Writer's Circle).

This is a short read, colorful book, and even a "forget-me-not" cynoglossum blue flower seeds offered in the back of the book. When I first received the book in my hands, reminds you of a children's book; however, it is a short story about Mary Angela Theys who lost her mother at a very young age and her Grandma (Gram) would plant beautiful flowers/plants at the grave site. Later, the grandmother received a regulation from the cemetery to no longer do such but years later after Mary was married and came to the grave site seeing beautiful blue forget-me-not flowers resting around the grave. This nearly touched my heart, as if the mother reached behind the veil of death to showcase her love through the beautiful appearance of the flowers, as if she hasn't forgot her daughter, Mary.

Recommend this book to all who have lost someone, grieving, or just want to remember the ones they loved. Read the book in July 2012.

Author of "God is in the Equation" and "The Day Begins with Christ"
